|Rescue Me ID: 17-10-26-00003Phillip (male)|
Phillip is being fostered in Kirkland, WA. Due to his timid nature he needs to be in a home with another dog. No exceptions. Thanks for looking! This handsome fella is named Phillip. He's about 5-6 months old and is a lab mix. He's a pretty big guy around 30-35(ish) pounds and will be a good medium size when full grown. He's working on his house manners and getting a bit of socialization and love. He's a bit shy upon first meet but will warm up. He has all the typical puppy habits and full of love, fun and curiosity. He's great with kids and other dogs and will be fine with cats. Due to his shyness another dog in the home would be wonderful for him, or a home with someone home more than not. He most likely wouldn't be great with a family gone all day long at least at this time. Phillip has an adoption fee of $350 which covers his neuter, vaccinations appropriate for his age, microchip, Braveco (flea/tick), microchip and his transport fees from the rescue in TX to his foster home in Olympia. |Rescue Me ID: 17-06-27-00246Cody (male)|
Cody is a young dog about a year old and of unknown breed. He has markings of a cattle dog but he's big, about 70 pounds give or take, and maybe a hound mix of some sort? While we can tell through certain behaviors that he has not had the best life up to date he is still very affectionate and loving. He's a leaner and will give kisses and hugs. He does fine with dogs of all sizes and cats and even chickens (he will chase the chickens but he wants to play not eat them). He's more of a submissive dog and will get along with most males and females just fine. As a matter of fact he needs to have another dog in the home or he's a bit uncomfortable. He most likely won't do well in a kennel or alone during the day. He's house trained but needs leash training. He knows 'sit' and 'down' but that's about it. He doesn't have the greatest recall but he does take redirection well and will learn quickly. Cody is a bit timid of new people, especially men. While he's become a totally 'normal' dog in my home he needs to have more males in his life that will spend time with him to learn that men are just a nice as women. He may be a bit overwhelming for small kids, he's big a goofy and floopy and will easily knock any youngster over in play. He is a chewer still and likes to collect items. He has any number of toys, balls and appropriate stuff that he chews as well as hoses, shoes, paint brushes...just about anything. I'm sure he will grow out of that but in the mean time things need to be put away. Cody has gotten out of the house/yard a few times but doesn't go far and usually sticks with the other dogs. He doesn't seem to be an escape artist and has never tried to jump, dig or climb the fence to get out. He's just as happy to come back in the yard with the other dogs as he is to head out with them. While he is timid of new things, he does like car rides. His new family will have to take things slow with him...this means no public areas for awhile including dog parks. He will need to not have a busy house with lots of new people coming and going until he feels comfortable. Again, he will need another dog in the home. Preferably one close to his size and energy level that he can romp around the yard with and burn some energy. He likes nothing more that to chase and be chased by the resident Boxer. Cody is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.
